Summer Ballroom Course Descriptions at the Grand

Do your vacation plans keep you from taking a 4-week long class this spring or summer? Our Social

Dance Seminars are the answer to your dilemma. In each 2 hour session, you will learn the dance frame

and basic step in ONE style of dance. You will perfect your leading and following skills before taking

on a new advanced move never taught before at the Grand Theatre. Class meets ONCE.

Course fee: $22/person (City of Tracy residents - $20/person)

Have you ever wanted to go Salsa dancing but were too shy to step foot on the dance floor?

Cathy Medeiros will have your hips moving to the Latin beat in four easy lessons. This session

will feature instruction in Merengue, Cha Cha, and Salsa. Soon you'll have the confidence to

step out onto the social dance floor and then learn more advanced figures. No partner is needed.

Students need to wear dark socks or ballet, jazz, or ballroom shoes in the dance studio.

The class meets once/week for 4 consecutive Tuesdays.

Course fee: $44/person (City of Tracy residents - $40/person)

Is a group class too fast paced and impersonal for you? Are you preparing for a special event and want

to impress your guests? Schedule four private 30 minute lessons with Cathy Medeiros and receive the

personal attention you deserve. Since ballroom dancing is a couple's activity, registrant has the option

of bringing a partner at no additional fee. The student selects the type of dance that will be covered at

each meeting. Dark socks are required but ballroom shoes are highly recommended.
